The staff at Dr. Dana Martin Orthodontics is committed to providing superior service and excellent care. With many years of experience in orthodontics, our staff looks forward to meeting the needs of our patients. All clinicians hold a current Registered Dental Assistant (R.D.A.) license.
Jim serves as our General Manager. He has a diverse background including 10 years in the State Police and 10 years with Berkshire Hathaway. He has a great sense of humor and enjoys getting to know our new consults and patients. When not at work, Jim likes the outdoors by working on his farm, hunting and spending time with family.
Sarah has been working as an orthodontic assistant for over 11 years. She has excellent communication skills and a proven ability to identify and solve problems. Sarah is reliable and works well with all of her teammates, while placing an emphasis on getting to know her patients. She enjoys hiking, biking, swimming and singing. Orthodontics is her true passion; it means a great deal to her to help uplift others confidence.
Brenda has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 1982. She started as a chair side assistant and decided to transfer into the laboratory where we make our retainers and “W” arches (to name a few) for our patients. Brenda has lived in Knoxville for the duration of her life, along with her 2 children and 4 grandchildren. She absolutely loves her job, has a great sense of humor and a drive for perfection!
3D Software Operator – Clinician
Spring is a RDA with coronal polishing and radiology certification. She has been in the dental profession for over 20 years. Spring oversees our patient flow and clinicians to ensure a great experience. She has a direct communication style with a warm smile, and is always willing to help. Spring goes against the grain a little, she is an Alabama fan!
Jenny is a RDA who has been a part of the dental profession for over 20 years. She takes care of our insurance department along with patient payments. Jenny has a great sense of humor and loves joking around with our patients. She is a native of Colorado and enjoys skiing, motorcycle riding and the outdoors.
Liz was a dental lab technician before joining our practice. She greets everyone each day with a pleasant “hello” and a warm smile. Liz is in the front office and juggles several tasks. She and her husband, Jim, are empty nesters after raising six children and are now enjoying the blessings life brings with their grandchildren.
Angie, who has a coronal polishing certificate, has been a RDA for more than 12 years. She has a great “Can Do” attitude while being an awesome team player. She has a great demeanor about her while bringing a professional attitude to work each day. Angie has two children, and yes, they both have been in braces with Dr. Martin!
Krista has been a registered dental assistant for 14 years with coronal polishing and radiology certifications. Krista is a compassionate and understanding person, and does her best to help her team. In her free time, Krista loves to spend time with her son, family and friends. Worship and missionary work is very important to her, and she loves spending time with her ministry.
Miriam, whom is bilingual, studied in Panama and continued her education in the US while becoming a Certified Dental Assistant in Salt Lake City. She has a great sense of humor, is helpful, a hard worker and dedicated to our practice. She always comes in with a positive attitude and a smile on her face. Miriam is married with two grown girls and one granddaughter.
Teri is a CDA/RDA and has been practicing in the dental field for over 22 years. She brings joy and a positive attitude to the office each day! The knowledge of the “old” way and the “new” way-technology, blends her right in as a team player. When she is not at work, Teri likes to spend her time with her two dogs, “Gizmo” and “Tater Bug,” along with relaxing on the lake with family and friends. When not with her family or dogs, she likes to go hiking in the Smoky Mountains. Her goal is to complete all 900 trails in the Smokies!
Mo has recently separated from the practice to start her own company, 3D Model Solutions. Mo grew up in South Florida where she began practicing orthodontics in 2005. She has worked with a myriad of practices, everything from 250 patients a day practice to a cleft lip and palate specialty practice. She has spent the years not only learning tooth mechanics, but the ins
and outs of the business. During her career, she has overseen everything from scheduling, HIPPA compliance, and converting a 15-year-old practice to paperless. She has a diverse background including running a fine dining kitchen, auto mechanics, machine maintenance and repair, and has even built log cabins. Through this unique background emerges a rare skill set and uncanny ability to think outside the box. We are thrilled to have her company working with us.
